Sunday Best
All of my recent footwear purchases had been practical. That is until I came across this super cute patterned pair at nine west. I knew I had to have them, plus they were marked down. It was a done deal. As soon as they were delivered I started plotting an outfit to wear them with. I chose a brightly colored sheath dress and a necklace that brought out some of the color from the shoes.

Sunday Best
The focus of this week's outfit is a lovely new necklace that I purchased from etsy. I have really been into getting jewelry from them lately. Not only are you supporting small businesses, but you are also getting one-of-a-kind pieces that you are unlikely to see elsewhere. I decided to use a brown seersucker dress as the backdrop for my colorful necklace.

Dead Ringer?
I totally fell in love with the Elizabeth and James Vanessa dress the moment I saw it. I've really been into stripes lately. But at $465 it was out of the question. Even when it showed up on HauteLook it was still almost $200! And so began my search for a Vanessa look-alike. When I came across this dress from Lulu's I knew it had potential - and at $35 it was a major steal! I would say this is more of an inspired-by look than a full on dead ringer, but I really love it anyways. Thoughts?

Sunday Best
It's been so hot lately that the only thing I can think of when it comes to my outfits is how cool they will keep me. Last week's outfit was worn to a picnic in the mountains where to my delight it was actually cool enough to put on a cardigan. You can't see the shoes, but they were just some basic flip-flops.

A Commentary: Lela Rose 2012 Resort Collection
Have you ever loved every single song on an entire album? This has happened to me a total of four times in my entire life, David Gray's White Ladder, Sia's Colour the Small One, Zero 7's The Garden, and Indigo Girl's 1200 Curfews.
What’s even more rare than loving an entire album, however, is loving an entire fashion collection. Well, it's finally happened. Every piece of the Lela Rose 2012 resort collection is to die for. If I could, I would buy them all. The line is full of vibrant colors, quirky prints, and classic silhouettes. The feminine details come together to create a look that's approachable, yet totally unique. I'm in love.
I had a really hard time picking my favorite, but the first dress below just blew me away. My other favorites are pictured after that. But like I said, I loved every single piece so this was a tough choice. You can view the entire collection here.
