Ornate

Ornate is really the only word I can use to describe this necklace. And to make it even more outrageous I paired it with two patterns. After all, I was in town for a design conference. If not now, when?

In the last of my vacation photos, I present to you my city outfit. The one that received the most oohs and aahs at the design conference. I knew if anyone could get behind this look, it would be a bunch of designers.

Bubbly with a View

A couple of more posts to go from vacation. These were taken at Gloria Ferrer Winery and Iron Horse Vineyards, both of which are known for their sparkling wines and breathtaking views.

In the Vines

We visited two beautiful wineries on our way to Healdsburg. Located next door to each other in Santa Rosa, both Harvest Moon and Hook & Ladder had gorgeous settings in addition to delicious wine.

California Dreaming

I recently spent 10 days in a California dream. From windy and cool San Francisco to sunny and wine-filled Sonoma County. It was the perfect trip with many, many costume changes.

I'll be posting several more vacation entries. I've gotta spread them out y'all!

Girl in the Pink Shoes

I was in New Orleans last week for work. One of my work duties included a fashion show. That's right, I said fashion show. Over the past year I had been working on the redesign of our logo. This change, mainly the overhaul of our corporate colors, was causing some anxiety for our members, which led me to write this piece. It all snowballed from there. The organizers of our national convention thought a fashion show would be a great, fun way to introduce our members to the new colors and show them the range of possibilities. The participants were such good sports and really brought the logo colors to life. One participant in general brought the house down with her playful take on the new color palette. It was a hit.

Below is the outfit I wore. By the end of convention pretty much every member was calling me "the girl in the pink shoes." I've included some posed shots as well as some silly "runway" shots.
