I had been eying this dress from Banana Republic's spring lookbook for weeks, but $165 for a cotton dress with subpar reviews seemed a little crazy. After the price went down to $130 it seemed a little more reasonable, but still a bit pricey for what it was. I had forgotten all about the dress when I received an email from Banana Republic with a mystery offer of either 25, 30 or 50% off your entire purchase. I pretty much figured the chance of getting 50% off was slim to none, so imagine my surprise when I walked into the store, opened my little mystery card and saw a big fat 50% off! Half off of 130 was totally doable.

Super cute! You know how much I hate vanity sizing, right? I don't care what the tag says number-wise, as long as it fits. I have trouble finding things small enough at Ann Taylor Loft and I'm 5'7"! That's ridic.

I know, it gives me such rage! And I feel like it's just getting worse too.
Vanity sizing has gotten out of hand. I had to switch down to size large when I was buying polo shirts at Gap a few weeks ago. That is ridiculous considering I'm 6'-2" and 220.
BTW the dress is really cute and I like your pairing with the teal shoes. How the hell do you avoid spilling on yourself? White is like a guaranteed stain waiting to happen!

I know! I just don't get it. Although I did read a study that people were more likely to buy clothes where the wear a smaller size. Delusion is powerful.
