Sunday Best

Someone read my blog last week and asked "so, exactly how many coats do you own?" I told her that I was going to plead the fifth on that question. Every spring, I go through my coat closet and try to get rid of one or two things, but it never works. I just love them all way too much to part with.

Have you ever loved something, then sort of hated it and then gone back to loving it even more? That's how I feel about the floral trench that I wore last week. I have noticed that I have this type of cyclical relationship with many of them items in my wardrobe. That's why I have such a hard time getting rid of things and this is especially true of my coats. You just never know when you'll have a yearning for that coat you bought last year or that swimsuit from five years ago. And that's why I am so happy that this trench never moved from the maybe get rid of pile to the definitely pile.
